Bea K.

As someone with asthma she couldn’t play outside, so growing up she was taught hand sewing to keep her occupied. She learned most kinds of needlework and embroidery to keep busy. Then came electric machines, as family members got new machines, she got their hand me downs. Her mom made the families clothes, so she soon learned the basics and made her own.

After getting a good base in clothes sewing she was introduced to quilting and was hooked for life. She has been quilting since the late 60s. At first she hand stitched then began machine piecing. Due to hand surgeries she no longer hand quilts.

Bea now machine quilts and embroiders for local churches and charities for their sales and fundraisers. She is our teacher for our Brother and Baby Lock home sewing and quilting machines.

“I love teaching the machines, quilting, and embroidery. Best job with the best customers.”
