Ready to take your sewing skills to the next level? Join our Quilted Jacket Class and create a stylish, cozy jacket perfect for any season! In this hands-on class, you'll learn how to design and assemble a quilted jacket from start to finish. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced sewist, this class will teach you essential techniques, including quilting methods, jacket construction, finishing details, and learn how to fit your jacket to perfection. The beauty of this class is that you do not have to be a quilter to create this jacket. All you need is your basic sewing skills. By the end of the workshop, you'll leave with a fully finished quilted jacket that’s uniquely yours and a set of new skills to apply to future projects.
Supplies:
- Tamarack Pattern available for purchase at Pocono Sew & Vac (must have bust, waist and hip measurements)
- Measuring tape
- Straight Pins
- Scissors
- Seam ripper
- Needles Microtex size #14
- Quilting needles size #14
- Matching Thread for piecing and quilting
- Walking Foot
- 3/4" Blue painters’ tape
- pencil
- extra bobbins
- Iron (some available to use in classroom)
Fabric Amounts:
- 1/2 yrd. of 8 different complementary fabrics
- 1 yrd for Batting 96" wide
- 3 yrd for lining
- 1 Fat quarter for binding
- 2½ yrd muslin
HOMEWORK
From each 1/2 yrd cut:
- 2 - 2 1/2 x WOF*
- 2 - 3" x WOF*
- 1 - 4 1/2 x WOF*

Class Cancellation Policy
To reserve a seat, all Pocono Sew & Vac classes must be paid in full upon registration. In the event that a student needs to cancel their reservation for a class, they should notify PS&V at least 7 days in advance (by phone) to be eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made less than 7 days before class will not be issued a refund.
If a class does not have the minimum number of participants 7 days prior to class day, the teacher will cancel class. The customer will be fully refunded within 7 to 10 business days. Any questions call PS&V at 800-442-8227.
Some classes require homework to be done before class, such as cutting/prepping fabrics. If homework is required, it will be posted in the class description. Please read the class description thoroughly before signing up before a class. If homework is not done by the start of class, you will not be able to attend, and a refund will not be issued. If you have any questions regarding class homework, please call the store and we will be happy to help.
