The Janome 2206 is a great machine for the beginning or returning sewist. This full size, mechanical machine offers 6 built-in stitches, including a 4-step buttonhole. Stitch width and pattern selection is easy to control by a dial on the front of the machine. Bigger machine versatility like free arm and drop feed makes this a machine that will grow with sewing skills. This is a good machine for a beginner, or a person who does not need a machine with more stitches. This is a front loading bobbin case, which takes #15 metal or plastic bobbin. This machine gets your sewing project done. Drawbacks: the sewing space is limited not good for large bulky sewing projects, and the thread spindles are not very sturdy, they could easily break if not careful when removing spools of thread or transporting the sewing machine. Overall, I would recommend this machine.
