This machine is my absolute favorite. I own four of these. I do bridal and prom alterations full time. This machine is sooooo easy to use and maintain. Drop in bobbin and quick tension adjustment is super easy to use. Pressure foot dial on the side is great when working with different fabric weights. Reverse button is in the lower left corner of machine, ergonomically comfortable for might right hand, newer Janome models all have them in the center of the face of the machine causing one to constantly reach over current piece working on. Speed control is perfect when teaching new sewers how to sew. Machine is lightweight. Comes with various foots for different tasks. I did buy an adjustable low shank zipper foot to use on this machine because I prefer that style of zipper foot vs the one that comes with the machine. Great light weight machine for the price. When I stumbled across Poconos Sew and Vac last February I was looking for a specific part for this machine and found they carried new ones, I bought another new one for my workroom! The new machine and parts were on my doorstep in three days.
